Cu(II) ions served as extracted component. Measurements of the Cu(II) content in water were performed using electrothermal atomization atomic absorption spectroscopy. The obtained experimental data indicate high adsorption capacity of the GO along with CNTs and AC. Kinetic parameters of the adsorption process on the graphene oxide were calculated using standard models (pseudo- first- and pseudo-second-order, external and intraparticle diffusion, and Elovich models). The presented results demonstrate the prospects of using the GO in selective extraction of heavy and rare-earth metal ions from aqueous media.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>sorption</kwd><kwd>graphene oxide</kwd><kwd>kinetic study</kwd><kwd>copper</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group xml:lang="en"><funding-statement>The research was funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation under Project No. 16.1384.2017/PCh.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Zhao G., Li J., Ren X., Chen C., Wang X.
