Moreover, photocatalytic properties of nanocrystalline ceria-based solid solutions still remain unstudied. In this paper, we have performed synthesis and detailed study of nanocrystalline Ce 1−x GdxO2−z(x = 0,1; 0,15; 0,2) samples in a model reaction of crystal violet dye photodecomposition.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Сведения о фотокаталитической активности нанодисперсного диоксида церия и материалов на его основе являются крайне фрагментарными и зачастую противоречат друг другу, при этом фотокаталитические свойства нанодисперсных твердых растворов на основе диоксида церия до сих пор остаются неизученными.
