The method is based on the hydrolysis of GeCl4 by propylene oxide in concentrated acetic acid which is used as a solvent. The proposed protocol allows one to obtain monolithic amorphous germania aerogels constructed of a three-dimensional network of nanoscale (⁓20 nm) particles and possessing specific surface area of about 80 m2/g. The addition of hydrochloric acid to the reaction mixture results in the synthesis of nanocrystalline GeO2 (hexagonal system) aerogels. The synthesized materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and low temperature nitrogen adsorption.</p>
Синтезированные материалы были охарактеризованы методами рентгеновской дифракции, ИК-и КР-спектроскопии, сканирующей электронной микроскопии и низкотемпературной адсорбции азота.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>золь-гель синтез</kwd><kwd>диоксид германия</kwd><kwd>оксид пропилена</kwd><kwd>сверхкритическая сушка</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>sol-gel synthesis</kwd><kwd>germanium dioxide</kwd><kwd>propylene oxide</kwd><kwd>supercritical drying</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">This study is performed within the ARIADNA Collaboration operating under the NICA facility as a part of State Assignment “Solving topical problems with NICA charged particle beams (Ref. # 124110600054-0)”.
