The rare earth doped strontium aluminate was synthesized by combustion method. The photocatalytic property was studied by absorption of methyle orange in aqueous solution under solar radiation. Eu:Dy codoped SrAl2O4 shows better photocatalytic properties than Eu or Dy doped or Eu, Dy, Ho codoped SrAl2O4.
