Phase formation in the liquid phase separation region of the SiO2-TiO2 system was experimentally studied. A thermodynamically optimized phase diagram of the SiO2-TiO2 system has been constructed. The curve of phase spinodal decomposition was calculated. It is shown that the phase decomposition in the liquid phase region occurs through a spinodal mechanism at the melt rapid cooling. It has been experimentally demonstrated that this
phenomenon leads to the formation of hierarchically organized nanostructures.
Keywords: spinodal decomposition, hierarchically organized nanostructure, phase diagram, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide.

  1. Very excellent information can be found on blog.Expand blog

  2. Having read this I thought it was very informative. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to put this article together. I once again find myself spending way to much time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worth it!
