The results of investigation of the influence of heat treatment parameters on the complexly organized structures formation in the FeOx–SiO2–TiO2 system are presented. It is shown that the spinodal decomposition mechanism of the liquid phases is a general nature and can be used to create materials with hierarchical organization of structure elements. Examples and ways of the nanoscale elements formation are given.

Keywords: complexly organized nanostructure, spinodal decomposition, phase diagram, solid solutions, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, iron oxides.
